Some of you may be familiar with a website which has some great photographs taken from catalogues, to which they put their own spin on what you’re looking at and end up with the funniest things which make me hoot with laughter.
Well, I have a confession … when I look at pictures craft rooms, on the inter webby, I have that same thing go on inside my head. I will fall in love with craft rooms, and gaze at them longingly – wishing that my craft room was *that* big, or *that* colour or *that* clean – but I know it’s never going to happen. However .. after I’ve fallen in lurve with the craft room … I will then spot a little something which begins to tickle me. From that tickle comes a bubbling feeling, like fizzing champagne bubbles going crazy around my solar plexus, and from that point on, all heck breaks loose and the laughter pops out. Not normal laughing … noooo.. the type of laughing which has tears running down my face laughing.
So, since it’s Monday, and Monday can be … very ‘Mondayish’ … I thought we’d get the week off to a slightly better start than ‘Mondayish’. So team … Get your chuckle muscles ready . . . (I’ll start you off gently with just five pictures, . . . so that none of you break your chuckle muscle) …
Crafters, Ladies and Gentlemen … May I introduce you to Malcolm and Anne. (who exist solely inside my imagination and for the purpose of…) . . . .

Happy Monday! I hope that your chuckle muscle is in good repair, and that you’ve just given it a little work out. Hopefully there will be more to smile about in your coming week.
Have a truly beautiful day my friends. Let’s do it to them before they do it to us. (be kind that is).
Hahahahahaha you are going for a chandelier aren’t you ??

In my heart I would yes, but in reality the ceiling in my ‘executive art annexe‘ is so low I’d likely garotte myself with it if I stood up!

I really really wanted a chandelier in the bathroom ..alas due to the low ceilings I would have to have spent the whole time walking around it …not quite the look I was going for ~ still we can dream

Dreaming is good. I ‘do’ dreaming every single day. I dream that I’m a size 10. Mind you, only having tiny handbag sized mirrors helps.

Thank you for the laugh muscle exercise! What I really want to know…who dusts these craft rooms??? I do love the rotary phone with an entire desk to itself, too.

lol.
Dusting? That’s a swear word! lol
I can make my craftroom look lovely … for about 12.45 minutes. After that I can stand it no more and have to get mess making.
I’m hoping that the owners of these craft rooms took those piccies in their own 12.45 minutes, just before chaos ensued.

I do understand “staged for photo” is very much like airbrushing models. It is an unattainable and defeating goal for the rest of us!

Oh goodness…I have a long way to go. Something keeps eating at me when I see these. Isn’t excessive anything a sin? Do they even know what they have or do they ‘find” surprises often.” Oh look…I have fifteen of these, How did that happen? ” Cob, you are a delight. Have a great day.

Well I’m going to be the other side of the coin here, as someone has to stick up for ’em…
… I can see why some have 15 pairs of scissors (for example). I myself have … [goes to count] . . . 8 pairs.
Two large sized, (as they came as a pack of 2),
One pair of scissors that I use solely for double sided foam tape and double sided regular tape. (they wash well and the sticky residue comes of those easily)
Two small pairs for general cutting of paper/card. One to use, and one spare for when I lose a pair (and I do, sigh… threw one pair in the bin last week! eek.)
A really sharp pair, which cut right down to the tip – for fussy cutting.
Two pairs of nail scissors – used for cutting into die-cuts. (I bought one pair but they were too chunky, so I bought another pair which are really light and will cut delicate little die cuts)
Eight pairs in total. I know it looks excessive – but I really do use them all and they all do different jobs.
But … I can see the angle you’re going for Beverly and it does make me smile.
God Bless all Crafters and their little fundementality’s. I love ’em to pieces. In fact I love them so much I decided to join ’em. lol
Have a wonderful day Beverly! ~ Cobs.

Ohhh me too Ruthie! I looked at that photograph and instantly fell in love with it. I would set up my main crafting desk at that window, but I’m not sure how much crafting I’d do. I would just sit and watch the hours change the view. God has such an amazing colour palette, and boy, what an Artist He is!
Tell you what Ruthie … I’ll race yer for it! LOL
Glad to hear that your chuckle muscles are all in good order. A laugh can turn a grey day into a day full of silver linings.
Sending big squidges to you, Ruthie. Have a lovely day my friend. ~ Cobs. x

Lol! I got two out of three right. The chandelier? What crafter would think that was good task lighting? Unless it is fitted with a bajillion daylight bulbs I suppose. Also spotted the sewing machine only to be used by a matchstick person, although my theory here is that it is a shared space, and Malcolm insists that his occasionally used telephone on an otherwise empty desk ranks higher than poor Anne’s daily use of the sewing machine… I didn’t spot the bucket though. I hope that says something good about me!!

I actually wondered (with the bucket funny) if anyone would ‘get’ what was actually being said there. LOL
The Chandelier… you mean … [GASP] … you HAVEN’T got one of those in your crafty space?
Demand that you own ‘Malcolm’ go out right this instant and get you one!
lol.

Obviously the bucket is for the seasonal indoor fireworks, no??! Mopping the floor? Queasy stomach?? Sea monkeys? Tiny little mermaid?

Hello Eva, so lovely to see you.
LOL… I’ve a feeling that my own personal ‘Malcolm’ would very likely be doing the exact same thing! LOL
Wishing you a blessed rest of your day, and a bright, new tomorrow.

Laughed like crazy about the bucket……I could see my “Malcolm” come up with that wise off idea. And yep he would probably paint it also just to really get to me.
I also worked out those chuckle muscles on the last one with the spice racks. I will, hopefully, be setting up my craft/laundry room this winter. I may have to reference these photos for some ideas?????

If you’re referencing these photos, I hope that you show us your craft room when you’ve finished. (And if you do … can I please give it to Anne and Malcolm so that they can put their twist on it? ROFL!)
Awww … sending ooodles of love to you Chicken. Thanks for the giggles. You’ve got my Tuesday off to a most excellent start!

I would definitely pass those photos on to you so Anne and Malcolm could critique them :). I value their opinion!! That Malcolm sounds like a gem.

LOL … I think he sounds like a ‘gem’ because we recognise our own husbands in there somewhere. LOL.
Ahh … what would we do without these men who can make us blow a fuse by leaving things *there*, (eg on the coffee table, on the bed, on the dining table, on the floor) … or things switched on when they should be off, plugged in when they should be unplugged … and who have a ‘whenIget-round-to-it’ coin which they play too many times for our liking?
Nah.. I wouldn’t swap my version of ‘Malcolm’ – not even with all his darling infuriations, and I bet you’d say the same too! LOL

LOL…. Mr.Cobs tells me I’m more clever than he is.
I’m not entirely certain that he doesn’t do it with his tongue stuck firmly in his cheek, or if he’s simply saying it so that it makes me happy, but I love him for it. Even if it is a fib. LOL
So long as he’d doing it laced with love, Chicken, I’d say you’re winning. ❤

I am utterly flabbergasted! These poor crafters only have one room for keeping their artistic tidbits? I have strategically placed yarn, hooks, stitchmarkers, measuring tapes, half crocheted hats/blankets/scarves/sweaters etc etc all around my entire house! It is my Crochet Carnival! I have attractions to entertain me at any moment during the day or night when I am overcome by an urge to crochet! I do admit though, I feel slightly guilty about having a giggle at the expense of these poor souls that must confine their artistic urges to only one room. I’m quite certain though that my Malcom would envy the organizational and tidying habits that these Caged Creators have. Pish-tosh! He’s just fussy because he needs to be careful where he sits lest he disturb anything in my Crochet Castle – yes that is correct. I have decided that my Crochet Carnival is now a Crochet Castle – and I am plotting to launch a siege on my Malcom’s garage/gym if he isn’t careful. One last thought – a bucket would be lovely as I really dislike getting all set up with my hook and yarn and then realize that I forgot to send the morning coffee back to Mother Earth’s water collection station!
I will go light a candle and pray for those poor poor people with only one room.
Fondly

I think Anne and Malcolm would enjoy reading that, Tami. I also think they’d love the prayers. However, I’ve a feeling that Malcolm rather likes that Anne has her own room, as he hates to think what the house would look like if Anne made the mess she makes in her craftroom, all through the house! lol.
Have a totally fabulous rest of your day.

Tickled pink that you found some fun with the first set of ‘pages’ from the Catalogue of Cob. (lol)
Like the couple? I think you’ll perhaps fall in lurve with them by the time you’ve got to know them better. 😀
