Talking about …
As it says on the tin – talking about ‘stuff’ which doesn’t fit into any of the crafting categories on the blog here. Please feel free to join in by leaving comments.
Which Craft ?
Here is the ‘home’ of other types of craft which I do but they don’t fit into a big category, instead they’re given their own little ‘clickable tab’ so that you can take a peep at something else.
ATC’s & ACEO’s
Works of art/heart all done within the small size regulation for this type of art, which is 2 1⁄2 by 3 1⁄2 inches (or 64 mm × 89 mm – for those who work in metric measurements)
Tag Art
All types of art which are made, painted, ‘done’ or put together on a ‘tag’.
Hand Crafted Items
Here is the place to find hand crafted items which don’t fit into an existing category on my blog.
Mini Album Making
Stamping – a guide’ish’
You can find a ‘Guide’ to stamping here. Something which may help new stampers orstampers who can’t work out why a stamp isn’t working for them. It’s a two part helper.
The Magic Wand Department
As it says on the tin … this is the place to find Wands ~ made by me! There is a lot to learn before one embarks on the making of any wand. This is something I found out right from the start and so I took time to research it and understand all the ‘requirements’. I was, however, helped by a white witch who was a font of all information, particularly when I came across anything which I wasn’t sure about or questioned to be true. (There are many things I came across which aren’t strictly a requirement, but merely something that one particular person might want). Photographing wands is easier when I’m taking pictures of smaller wands, because you can get in closer to a smaller wand, but still keep the whole wand in view. Taking a photograph of a 12″ or more sized wand is more difficult as the closer you get to the details, the more you lose of the rest of the wand so have no perspective of the size or even of the size of the details being shown to the rest of the wand. Aw .. you’ll see what I mean when you…
Scrapbooking
Before I began Scrapbooking, several years ago, I had no idea how to do ‘scrapbook’. Scrapbooking to me was something I’d done when I was young, in school. Glue and stick pictures into one of those shop bought scrapbooks made from that awful craft paper which behaved more like blotting paper. It was rough and horrid and … normally .. grey! I had to learn what scrapbooking was about. What did people do in a scrapbook. And do you know what I learnt? I found out that Scrapbooking is as different as we all are. It means something different to everyone. There can be some guidelines, but there aren’t really any hard and fast rules. You see … your scrapbook is, well, yours. You have a story which will either just be a story without a photograph but with perhaps a memento – or you might just have one photo but lots of love and memories which wind around that one picture. Whatever your story is – why not scrapbook it? There’s no mystery to scrapbooking. There’s just lots of love hidden in pages. So go on… hide your love inside some pages, for your future generations to find, and…
