Missing Comments on other peoples posts and WHAT THE HEFF, WORDPRESS???

Since I came back from my interval in blogging, WordPress have made some changes. None of which I’m at all impressed with.

Firstly … I preferred the original style of making a blog post, where I could clearly see the tool bar, which appeared at the top of the post I was building.

If I wanted italics, I could click the button. If I wanted BOLD – another button … if I wanted to put a quote in – another button. And … if I wanted to add a photograph to a post, in a particular place, I could do so, really easily.

But now … I cannot find the button to insert a photo. I’ve managed to find BOLD and italics (as you can see).

But … what the heff is a ‘BLOCK’ when typing a post? Is it what us normal people call a paragraph? If so … call it a paragraph so that we’re all reading from the same page!

I was bought up with the thought of, and am still a believer of:-

IF IT AIN’T BROKE, DON’T FIX IT!

I need IDIOT PROOF instructions on how to preferably: A) switch my blog posting options back to the original system which I knew, loved and could work without having a University degree in WordPress sillyness. …. OR B) Idiot proof instructions on how to insert a photograph in my post, where I want it, and GET MY £^&(*@ BLOG BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS before I blow a fuse and give up blogging for good. I want to blog for pleasure. Not for a meltdown and sweat & stress. We all have more than enough stress in our lives right now, without WordPress giving bloggers a big dollop of stress on top of it.

SECONDLY ….

I’ve been busy going round various blogs that I follow, clicking to like posts, and making comments on the more recent posts I’ve missed. However … I became aware that I wasn’t getting any responses to comments I’d made on some blogs of people who I know would normally reply back to comments I’d made on their blog posts. This appears to only be happening on WordPress blogs.

I went in search of comments I knew I’d made …. and low and behold – there were no comments from me anywhere. I could see that I’d clicked the ‘like’ button, – but the comments I’d made had completely disappeared, like some sort of magic trick.

Is anyone else having this problem on WordPress blogs? And … if you have had the problem, how did you solve it please?

The owners of much loved by me blogs, must be wondering why I haven’t been commenting, when I actually have! Or at least, I’ve tried to. I’ve typed out comments and submitted them, and they look that they’ve been submitted, but they just disappear.

Your help would be very much appreciated.

Sending love ~ [normally I’d add a piccie of my signature here, but I can’t work out how to do that anymore, so instead, I’m afraid you only get a typed….] ~ Cobs. x *huff* **-insert swear word here-**

#Wordpress I hope you get to read this because I bet that I’m not the only person who’s disappointed in your new changes. You haven’t improved things, you’ve made blogging a thoroughly unpleasant thing to try to be part of and be involved in.

Author: The Art of Cobwebs - aka:- thecobweboriumemporium

Hello. I'm 'Cobwebs'. I live in a wee little cottage in the South of England, aptly called Cobweb Cottage. This little dwelling really is a cobweb factory. Not inside (well, occasionally) - but outside - flipping heck! This information should give you a clue as to why my blog is called The Art of Cobwebs aka: The Cobweborium Emporium. I've been arty and crafty from a very young age, and although my crafts have sometimes turned a corner and taken me in another direction, I've always crafted in some way, shape or form. One day, in the blink of an eye, life changed somewhat for me and the consequences were many. I had to find a new way of being 'artistic'. Card making; scrap-booking; producing ATC's and ACEO's; needle felting; Polymer clay; painting- but in a more relaxed style than I had before, and sewing, - are all things which I visit, as and when life allows. I've fairy recently become a Textile Artist and am enjoying this new creative outlet very much as it offers me so much scope for letting my imagination run through a grassy field and feel the wind in my hair - (mentally, of course). I love to create. To make things. I truthfully believe that the best gifts in the world are those in which you've given your time, rather than your cash. Thank you so much for visiting. Please visit my blog (link below) and have a look around. I'm sure you'll find something to enjoy, even if it's only a handful of jokes! (yes, seriously - there really are jokes!) Wishing you a truly blessed rest of your day! ~ Cobs. <3

  1. Hi Cobs.

I have experienced difficulty commenting on some of the blogs too, when I liked them, it then asks me to log in, so click the link and log in then it asks me to log in to make a comment……..off we go again. I only seem to be able to comment if I am actually logged in to WordPress and only in a browser! Very frustrating!

The new system I have got use to. Yes it is a block we use now, and when you start a new block, before you start writing if you see the cross to the right of your post, there you can choose to add a gallery or image. Once you chose gallery if you are adding more than 1 picture, you can see to right where it says gallery, you can click and change the layout.

When writing your post, you can find a choice of editing by moving your mouse when a bar should appear, and from there you should be able to make a choice. Hover over and it should give you what each section is, or press the down arrow.

It took me a while to figure it out when I came back to blogging, now I guess I am getting use to it, but it is still much better than Wix……that makes me want to scream!!!!!

I hope this helps you a bit.

Big Hugs to help carry on 🙂

    1. Ohh Kim, thank you SO much for these incredible, helpful words of advice! I shall print out your instructions so that I can have them next to me next time I’m trying to put a post together. I shall keep the faith and try my hardest to build a post with the same feel that my other posts have always had.

But … doesn’t it seem ridiculous that WordPress – probably the worlds best blogging site, has made it incredibly, stupidly complicated to build a post for folks blogs?! It feels like trying to knit jelly.. or even one of those complicated – ‘find the ‘sun cream’ in this picture of 500 sunbathers onthe beach’ pictures which drive us all nuts from time to time.

We shouldn’t have to wriggle our mouse to get a few options appear; or open a bar to the right in order to find a few more; or click some weird and strange symbol in the hope of giving us more options.

It’s like they’ve got a new broom (employee) who’s decided to rearrange all the filing cabinets in the office, over the weekend, and now, instead of the files being in the good old, understandable, easy to use, Alphabetical Order – they’re now in order of length of the name on the folder.

Now to the new broom (employee) it obviously made sense at the time he/she rearranged all the files – but when everyone came into work on Monday, no one could find any of the files they required in order to do their jobs! And…. were the files under the first or last name, – or under the length of Mr. or Mrs. or Miss? – or – if there was the word ‘THE’ or ‘DUKE’ or ‘SIR’ or ‘DUCHESS’ or ‘LADY’ or … aw, on and one the choices could go! – The choice of length of title, company name, personal name, or, or, or – however long the whatever name or word might be!

The system doesn’t make sense, and it certainly isn’t the fabulous, clear and easy to understand for the blog owner, and great way to build a good looking blog post, which blog readers could engage with.

Then of course is the bugs which #Wordpress haven’t sorted out before wheeling out a whole new system of confusion, which has meant that stupidity and annoyance – not to mention time wasting – of the non appearance of comments and likes which is happening.

#Wordpress should have thoroughly tested their planned changes BEFORE they released them in order to remove or fix any bugs which they obviously haven’t done – for here we are, having wasted time visiting, reading them trying to like and comment on others blog posts, only to find we’ve wasted our time because our likes and comments disappear into the ether, never to be seen.

Aw, this is a nightmare, and #Wordpress need to do something about this whole mess quickly, before people throw their hands up and give up blogging altogether.

Kim – thank you again for your help and idiot proof instructions on how to find things which will help to build a post now, and for your advice on watching out for the magically appearing thing which will let me add a photograph into the main body of the post.

I shall try your suggestions out, and let you know how I get on.
Bless you for taking the time to help. I’m so thankful to you that I can’t find the words to say HOW thankful I am.

Sending much love ❤ and lots of hugs ~ Cobs. xxx

      1. You are very welcome Cobs. I almost had kittens as your comment disappeared yesterday after l tried to post and l was just mustering the energy to retype! So glad you got.

New brooms sweep clean and l am just living through this at work so l totally understand the changing of the filing system!

I am also having to draw up instruction sheets at work too so all this was obviously meant as practice to help my dear friend continue her amazing blogging!

I am still wading through the changes myself so if you get stuck, send me an email and I will try and break the system while I learn how! 😂

        Have a great day 🎉

        1. Ohh, thank you Kim.
Very good luck with the new system at work. At least I’m not facing having to learn two new systems. This one on WordPress has blown a few fuses inside my worn out brain already!

I think the instruction sheets are the way to go. It will help to get your brain cells to line up and get ‘it’ right. lol Good luck, my lovely friend.

Thank you again for your help, and for your offer of more help should I need it.
Have a blessed day, my incredible blogging friend. Love ~ Cobs. xxx

  2. Sorry about your frustrations. I have had it with Facebook and their new layout, don’t like it at all! It’s slower, much slower and well, I just don’t like it. I have pretty much had it with a lot of the social media stuff and am about to scream at some of the things going on through my network. I can’t make comments on my friends You Tube channels and when I go to reply to someone, it says to me that I need to log in. So I try and do that with last known log it information and it says it’s wrong and sends the information I need to a file I can’t enter! Very frustrating. I feel your pain. I do hope you get it sorted Cobs, technology is wonderful when it works right, and like you say, if it’s not broken, don’t fix it.
Stay strong and keep on trying. 🙂
Much love from across the pond.

    1. Hello Soozy
I can’t say I share your opinions of changes by Facebook, as I don’t ‘do’ Facebook. I did sign up, and tried it for a few days, and realised that I just wasn’t the sort of person who was right for that particular social media site. It seems to be full of an awful lot of ‘un-nice’ people who were leaving the most outrageous comments on others Facebook pages.

Thankfully I only managed to garner about 3 followers in the few days I was there – so I didn’t personally experience the nasty things, but reading them on others pages was enough to upset me, so I removed all my pictures and personal details and closed the thing down.

I do have a YouTube account – but it’s not one I post videos on. I have it so I can watch others video’s and save my favourite videos to my account so that I can find them easily and watch them whenever I want.

It sounds like you’re living the nightmare situation that I’m having with the WordPress changes.

Normally I would have recommended WordPress to you, as a site where you could blog about anything you wanted. General Chatting – Dogs – cooking – crafting – reading books – faith – what bargains you saw at the shops today – anything. Anything at all.
But right now, with all the bugs, and silliness which #Wordpress have introduced – I don’t think I’d currently recommend it at this time. Wait until people are singing the praises of it again. Then maybe you could venture in and chat away on your very own blog, and people will come and find you and follow you!

Thanks for coming Soozy. It’s so lovely to see you.

I’m not sure who’s the most deluded: The person who invented and built these changes; OR #Wordpress for believing that these ‘improvements’ were amazing and that they would improve the lives of their faithful bloggers!!!

  3. Lots of people have been frustrated by the new editor. You’ll conquer it, but it will take time.

When I want to insert a photo, I hit return at the end of the paragraph. A plus sign appears, and I press it and choose photo. A box appears. I switch to a browser to find the picture I want. Make that window smaller so that you can see your post on WordPress. Using the mouse, right or left click and drag and drop in that box.

Writing instructions is not easy!! You’ve probably already figured out how to add a picture. Good luck with everything else.

    1. Hello Anne.
It’s good to hear that I’m not alone in my frustrations regarding the new editor on #Wordpress.

The inserting of a photograph . . . how daft is a change which flashes up a plus sign (+) which is the new way WordPress offer the chance to add a photograph to a post? There’s no wording which would seem obvious to me, saying: “add a photograph here?”
Now THAT would be a genuine improvement. But a ‘+’ flashing up and then disappearing – helps no one! While I was looking for the old ‘add media’ tab to click, I obviously missed the flash ‘+’ thing so had no idea that it even existed!

But then, reading further in your comment: you have to
      1) switch browser to find a photograph, then …
      2) make that window smaller, then
      3) Go back to your post in WordPress again, and…
      4) Then, using your mouse, drag and drop your photograph into a box!

How on earth did #WordPress think that all is silliness is easier than
      A) clicking ‘add media’ –
      B) uploading a photograph using the one click button, and
…. having it inserted into your post where you wanted it to be?!

WordPress need to have a word with themselves and realise that just because they imagined it, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good thing. (Bit like me adding ketchup to the top of a gooey, chocolate cookie. I can imagine it – but . . .)

Thank you for taking the time to type out the instructions for posting a photograph, Anne. I shall give it a go and see if my brain cell can get the results I want – or hoping for.
      Bless you.
Sending you much love ~ Cobs. x
(P.S…. Thank heavens above that they haven’t messed with the way we post a reply to a comment – otherwise I’d be totally lost altogether!) ~C. x

  4. Dear Cobs: I agree with you 100,000% about the new WP editor. It stinks. It’s awkward and clunky. It’s completely unfriendly. It’s the opposite of intuitive, and it takes sixty thousand times longer to post a simple article, with or without pictures, than it used to. (Blocks, my aunt fanny.) It’s also the reason I post far less than often than I used to. There was nothing wrong with the so-called “Classic Editor” (which WP keeps saying we can switch back to but gives no instructions that actually work on how to do so) and there’s nothing right about the new one. They claim that they’ve added new and better features but I see nothing of the sort. It’s a complete fail as far as I’m concerned.

So it’s not you, Cobs. I’ve heard from other bloggers who hate it as much as we do. And I find it particularly frustrating because I have a basic, free plan with no special features (such as the ability to post video), so any “improved features” – if I could find them – would be useless to me anyway!

As to your particular problem with posting photos: are you posting from your phone or desktop? Try your desktop, as many options simply aren’t visible on a phone. (I’m afraid I’m not using my desktop right now, or I would look up where to find the photo posting button — they have placed it way down on a certain menu. I just can’t remember what they call it, sorry.)

I suggest you use the help button to get a team member to help you through all of your questions. All of them – make them work at it. And give them feedback while you’re at it. (I’ve never noticed any feedback option during 4+ years of using WP, and I betcha there isn’t one.) I’ve had some success using this method; however, sometimes the person who replies doesn’t have a clue. You could also try the forums.

Let me know via private message if you’re still having issues, and the next time I’m on my computer, I’ll try to help you out. Good luck!

    1. Hello Gilly.
I’ve been using both my laptop and my big beasty machine, aka: the desktop model.
I don’t tend to use my phone to post, simply because it bores the heck out of me just trying to have a text conversation over skype, so trying to type out a whole post on the darn phone would send me even more mental than I currently am.

Like you, I can’t find the foolproof instructions to turn my editor back to the classic theme, which I loved dearly. It was like a friend, who wanted to help me with everything. (I swear it would have done the washing up and made me a coffee, had I thought to ask it!). But this new C.A.R.P. that they’ve given us to play with, is exactly that. CARP. (oh… did I spell that incorrectly? My spell check hasn’t corrected it. thankfully. lol).

You said: ” the new WP editor. It stinks. It’s awkward and clunky. It’s completely unfriendly. It’s the opposite of intuitive, and it takes sixty thousand times longer to post a simple article, with or without pictures, than it used to. (Blocks, my aunt fanny.)”. . . . Never has any comment been a better description. I wish I had what it takes to have written that in those exact words. #WordPress take note.

I want to make a new post with a bit of textile art in it, so I’m going to try and build that this weekend. I’ve told myself that the minute I begin banging my hands on the keyboard; or swearing; or talking too loudly about how carp WordPress is, that’s the moment I’m to turn off the computer and leave it all alone for at least one hour. Maybe two. Or even five.

I’m hoping to be able to publish the blog post by Monday or Tuesday or by the end of next week, depending on how many hours I have to turn the ‘puter off for.

Aw Gilly thank you for coming, and for the brilliant comment. The fact that you feel so strongly about it, just as I do, helps. Knowing that it’s not just me being an idiot and averse to change, is like being given a warm hug.

I’ve been able to figure out most of what I need from the new editor (slowly, and with the aforementioned cursing, plus some foaming at the mouth and gnashing of teeth), and I’m sure you will, too. I’ll be on my desktop in the next day or two (I never use my phone to post, either), so I’ll be in touch, and we can get ‘er done. ❤

  5. Hi Cobs! The new editor isn’t at all friendly is it? I use an external editor called Open Live Writer, which replaced the older Windows Live Writer when Windows stopped supporting it. Once set up it’s easy to use, and good for formatting the posts… although lately I’ve been noticing the format is altered slightly after posting, and needs tweaking in the dreaded block editor.
They do have a ‘classic’ block, which is meant to look like the loved and wonderful version, although to me it doesn’t have the same feel.
There are some new nifty features in the new editor, although it seems some don’t work as well on different devices… it may look good on a computer but not on a mobile phone for example. In all fairness, WordPress may have resolved these issues. They do seem to want to help even if they spring these unwanted changes on us.
As with all new things, the more we use it the better we’ll be at it, but in this day and age of shorter seconds can we really spare the time to learn… or just learn on the fly?
Open Live Writer works OK for me, and the occasional tweaks aren’t that much of an issue.
Stick with us Cobs, and we’ll get through it together! 🙂

“The new editor isn’t at all friendly is it?” – Tellin’ me, Tom! [insert red, cross face here]

Open Live Writer – I haven’t heard of that. I’ll have a look for it and give it a try.

I don’t use my phone to build or publish posts… typing text messages on Skype is a pain in the ahhhhhs, so tapping out a whole post would send my one brain cell into a total meltdown!
I use both my laptop and my big beasty – aka The Desktop to build posts and publish them.

I hope to make a new post – with photos (I’ve been given details of how to do that with this new IMPROVED(???? – what a joke) editor, and I’m aiming to get it published by Monday. Not sure if I’m aiming a little too high, but I enjoy a challenge.

If you don’t see a new post on Monday … send out a rescue team. You’ll find me sat on the beach, crying, with a bottle of something wonderful to drown my misery with. [insert grinning winky face]

            1. I had no choice… W.Press hoisted it upon me. Thankfully everyone heard my plea for help with it, and I eventually managed to compose a post which looked good enough to read – complete with pictures.

HOwever …. this week post (published today) took me six hours to put together. I found out that building a post on the big beasty boy, desktop computer, deals with the new editor in a different way, and things just don’t sit where I’m telling it to sit. Oh .. and paragraphs don’t exist in editor on the desktop – which is a pain in the rear – but thankfully I found out all that wasn’t right, and began again on my laptop – which did things I wanted it to do. PHEW!

While I’ve got you …. have you noticed that in your spam folder, you can no longer ‘BLOCK’ anyone who posts spam on your blog? That function has apparently gone missing – unless it’s there, but hidden under a symbol or words which mean diddly squat to a normal human. [sigh]

  6. Hmmm…..I haven’t had a problem with posting or leaving comments…..I think sometimes the browser you are using is causing problems. I know when Microsoft changed to Edge one of the recent changes automatically blocks all pop-ups. The first update didn’t even tell you they did it! When I was working, I couldn’t get the program to work at all which was very frustrating! They did an update about a week later and now there is a little notice up at the top that Edge has blocked pop-ups and gives you the opportunity to uncheck the box so that your pop-ups (ones that you need!) will appear. I have not had any problems with Chrome, which is what I use with WordPress.
When I created my first post in the new “style”, I couldn’t find where I could insert a feature image, or any of my catagories, etc. Low and behold on the right side of the screen there was a menu for “Post” or “Block”. It seemed mine defaulted to “Block”. When I clicked on “Post”, all of my “information” for my post appeared, including where I could add my feature image. If I know that I am going to be adding photos (almost always!), I upload the photos to my media library before I start the draft. I found this much easier that adding photos to the media library as I was writing my post. I could easily add my photos where I wanted by clicking on the “+”, selecting image, and then I can just use the “select image” and then media library. All of the photos I had uploaded are there, and the ones most recently uploaded are at the top. I found this a little easier when I wanted to add photos. I know change is ongoing, but the least they could do is let everyone know in advance how to navigate the changes, or at least give us the option to continue to use the “older” version until we are comfortable with the changes….especially when it seems like EVERYTHING has changed! 🙂

    1. Hello Nancee … I wholeheartedly agree with your last sentiment. They really should send an email to everyone, with details of how to use the new system – bullet point ‘how to’s – so that EVERYONE can play around and learn how to do work the changes they’ve made.

I’ve ‘cracked’ posting photographs now, and managed to build a post which I’ve scheduled for tomorrow, so that it gives me a little space to try and work out a couple of things which are still hidden to me.

You said:- ““Post” or “Block”. It seemed mine defaulted to “Block”. When I clicked on “Post”, all of my “information” for my post appeared, including where I could add my feature image.”

Ahhhhh…. ok, mine is set to ‘block’ – so I’ll give it a go and see if I can improve things for me. Although … just to be safe, I’ll try it on a ‘pretend’ post rather than the scheduled one I’ve got for tomorrow – because knowing my luck, I’ll wipe the whole thing out and that would just infuriate and lay me out on the floor, screaming with anger! lol.

Thank you for the tips – I shall play around with them and see what else I can discover.

Aw thanks for coming Nancee … and for taking the time to help. I love you for it. Bless your heart.

  7. Oh…one more thing….when your comment doesn’t show up immediately, if you refresh your screen, it will usually appear. If the owner of the blog has to moderate your comment, you should see “your comment is awaiting moderation”. I found this out by accident. I would leave a comment, and the screen would show it was thinking (LOL!) and then look like it accepted my comment. When I would scroll down, the comment wouldn’t be there. When I refreshed my screen, then it would appear. Crazy.
I too and getting tired of Facebook. Especially during this election season. All I see are posts about the election. I thought Facebook was so you could connect with family and friends and not be pounded by relentless adds for items I don’t want or political adds. It isn’t what it used to be. I have learned to just scroll past all the nonsense to see the crafts and things I am actually interested in. Some of the social media has too much control! I do like it for keeping up with my family and friends, though.

    1. Facebook … is a no for me. I’m just not made of the right stuff to cope with some of the nasties and the trolls who say the most outrageous things to thoroughly nice people. Not my thing at all. (Product of the divil, if you ask me)!

Comments …. my comments that I’d made on folks blog pages would show up as if they’d been posted … but if I went back a couple of days later, my comment would be missing.

I’ve found out from a handful of people, that they’ve found my comments in their spam folders.
I have no idea why … maybe because I’ve been away for quite a while … but … even so, … spam? Hmmm. Can’t be because I changed my name – because I didn’t change my blogs name or address, or even email address. I just added my name/title to it – The Art of Cobwebs. But the actually web address stayed the same – so WordPress knows it’s me.

Aw … its a law unto itself it would seem.

  8. I’m so happy to see your post today. I think I may have missed some if you have posted recently. I have yet to hear anyone say that they like the new editor and I agree – If it’s not broke DON’T FIX IT!!! I know others have tried to help with inserting a photo and I’ll just add my 2 cents.
Hit enter to get they cross to appear.
If you want to add a photo select image – it will then give you the following options – similar to before.
“Upload an image file, pick one from your media library, or add one with a URL.
    Upload
    Select Image
    Insert from URL”
I always use select image which will take me to my media library where I have my own pictures stored.
If you have already figured it out then just ignore this as I wouldn’t want to confuse you more.
I hope you get it figured out though because I am looking forward to more of your posts. 🙂

    1. Hello Ruth … Well, with the help of you and others, I managed to figure out how to insert photographs into a post! YAYAYAYAY!!

I’ve scheduled a post for tomorrow morning. Lets see if WordPress will publish it. LOL.

Oh… and yes, you missed a post! Have a look for “The Copper Topped Lavender Mob”. It’s the post previous to this one. I think you might like them…. they’re Mushrooms, made from Textiles.
      Have a peep.

Thanks for coming Ruth, and for your help.

        1. Hello Ruth!
I’ve just checked, and the new post has been published and all the photographs are there too! Obviously I paid attention to all the advise I received, from you and other kind bloggers who helped me enormously.
So again, Thank You Ruth. You are a star shining among stars, and together you all shine breathtakingly brightly. It’s been an incredible experience. being on the end of such kindness and help, from so many people. A truly loving feeling, and I thank you and everyone for all the help.

So happy to be back with you Ruth.

  9. Hello Cobs, I don’t want to read and run but equally I have a hungry 9 year old to feed so just a quick message for now to say that I have just found your comments to me in my spam folder. Not sure why they would go there but perhaps WordPress flagged it because it’s been a while since you commented. Who knows, most of what goes on here is a mystery to me! Anyway, I shall be back once ravenous children have been fed and are entertained (dare I say it, I may actually get them to sit down to do their homework!) Hx

    1. Yes, apparently a lot of my messages are going to other bloggers spam folders. I have no understanding of why. I can only think it’s because I’ve been away from blogging so long, that the system doesn’t recognise me.
      sigh.
Computers are wonderful – but computer systems can completely mess things up.
Hope everyone is fed and homeworked and now in bed.

    2. Hannah ….
I’m leaving comments on other peoples blogs, and for some strange reason those comments are going straight into their spam folder.

I recently left a comment on your blog, but Ive just checked and it’s not there. So Im guessing that it’s gone to spam.

I’m told that you have to tell the spam folder that I’m not spam, and it will then move my comments to your ‘inbox’ and show the comment on your blog then.

I hope that the comment (or comments) are still in ‘spam’ and haven’t been cleared out by the system already.

      Sending love~ Cobs. xxx

      1. Hello Cobs, Sorry I am just getting around to catching up with things (last week turned into ‘one of those weeks’). I will go back to check my spam folder and make sure that you are unspammed! I know there were comments you made on a few previous posts and for the minute I can’t find them in my notifications…. I’ll keep looking…. I hope all is well in the land of Cobwebs. Hxxx

    1. I wholeheartedly, 100% agree QWC.
There are way too many bugs in it for it to work successfully. They need to remove the whole thing, re-work it, de-bug it, and then and only then, introduce it. But … I hope they take away the silly symbols and the daft words which might mean something to them, but mean nothing to us normal people.
      Grrrrr.
Ok … picking up my soap box, tucking it under my arm and marching off to the kitchen for a chocolate coated rice cake.
Lovely to see you QWC! ~ Cobs. xx

    2. Hannah …. I can’t seem to get to your actual blog. I can click the link in your blog name here, but that takes me to an ‘about you’ page, which only has a contact page as an extra page. Where is your blog? Please could you give me a link?
Having a moment here, because I can’t work out what I’m doing wrong! eeeek!

  10. I’m still using the classic editor and will keep on using it until they pry it out of my typing hands. Not looking forward to using the block editor and still stumped as to why WordPress would put something out so horrendous.

    1. Nope, I don’t understand it either. It’s SO filled with silliness and bad coding. It makes everything so much more complicated and difficult. What used to take one click, now taken ten minutes to find what you want, then half a dozen clicks to try and make it do the thing you want it to do. It’s quite ridiculous and a really bad show by W.Press.
