Craft Living, with Anne and Malcolm ~ part 3

Some of you will recall that I’ve posted ‘Craft Living with Anne and Malcolm’ twice before, and so know that all the photos/pictures are all about having a bit of a giggle about something(s) that you might have normally not noticed about a craft inspired photograph.

If you haven’t seen the firs two of these blog posts, you might find that having a read of them first will give you an idea of what to expect in this third instalment.

You can find the first Anne and Malcolm post  HERE No.1  (it will open in a new tab for you)

The second Anne and Malcolm post can be found HERE No.2 (again, it will open in a new tab).

Anne and Malcolm aren’t myself or Mr.Cobs  –  however, they do have their feet placed firmly in our joined at the hip sense of humour.  (except my humour is far cleaner than Mr.Cobs,  and doesn’t involve swear words (very often) and most certainly has nothing to do with  f.a.r.t.s  or blowing raspberries either!)

Anne and Malcolm are a figment of my imagination.  They are two people I  ‘made up’  in order to share something which tickles the heck out of me – that being viewing a photograph and the ability to see something funny; odd; weird; strange; ticklish…  which, the moment I’ve seen *that thing*, I instantly give voice to describing it.  And …  I simply brought that voice to the blog here in order to [hopefully] cause you smile.

So here for your enjoyment is Craft Living with Anne and Malcolm, part 3. I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I did putting this little selection together for your enjoyment.

There aren’t nearly enough laughs to be heard in the world right now, so have some fun with these, and share them too.  Let’s infect the world with a bit of laughter!  😀

Well, we’ve turned over a few more pages of the  ‘COBWEB CATALOGUE – life with a Crafter & her Spouse’.   Y’know …  I don’t think we’ll ever get to the end of that Catalogue – there seems to be an unending amount of pages in it.

I will be truthful and say that I love this adorable pair.  They’re obviously made for each other.   But both in need of getting out more.

Thank you so much for coming and having a bit of a giggle with me.  Do remember to share the smiles with your friends (send ’em a link in an email) or re-blog for your own blog followers.  We really do need more smiles going on in the world right now, so let’s form a chain, eh?

Wishing you a happy, contented weekend.  Sending squidges and buckets love, to you in your corner,  from me in mine.  ~

Author: The Art of Cobwebs - aka:- thecobweboriumemporium

Hello. I'm 'Cobwebs'. I live in a wee little cottage in the South of England, aptly called Cobweb Cottage. This little dwelling really is a cobweb factory. Not inside (well, occasionally) - but outside - flipping heck! This information should give you a clue as to why my blog is called The Art of Cobwebs aka: The Cobweborium Emporium. I've been arty and crafty from a very young age, and although my crafts have sometimes turned a corner and taken me in another direction, I've always crafted in some way, shape or form. One day, in the blink of an eye, life changed somewhat for me and the consequences were many. I had to find a new way of being 'artistic'. Card making; scrap-booking; producing ATC's and ACEO's; needle felting; Polymer clay; painting- but in a more relaxed style than I had before, and sewing, - are all things which I visit, as and when life allows. I've fairy recently become a Textile Artist and am enjoying this new creative outlet very much as it offers me so much scope for letting my imagination run through a grassy field and feel the wind in my hair - (mentally, of course). I love to create. To make things. I truthfully believe that the best gifts in the world are those in which you've given your time, rather than your cash. Thank you so much for visiting. Please visit my blog (link below) and have a look around. I'm sure you'll find something to enjoy, even if it's only a handful of jokes! (yes, seriously - there really are jokes!) Wishing you a truly blessed rest of your day! ~ Cobs. <3

  1. Spilling glitter with the lid still on! Now that takes talent. Phones in cupboards, that would be me. Have you never gone to put the cream back in the fridge but went to the pantry instead? I just did that yesterday. When you do things like that it’s because you are on auto-pilot.
I wish I had a craft room. A place where mess doesn’t matter, really. I could leave my creations out and not think about putting everything away. A room with lots of windows to let the light in and maybe an ensuite as well.
I need to buy a lottery ticket!
Have a lovely Easter Weekend Cobs and hope that wee Cobs sees the bunny.

    1. Hello Soozy 😀
Spilling glitter with the lid on…. I would say that’s someone who learnt their talent at the Harry Potter School of Magic! lol

Ah … things left in odd places. You’re not alone in that Soozy. I normally find I do things like that when I’ve got something big or important on my mind which makes me put things down and instantly forget where I put them.

Having a dedicated craft room is lovely, as you don’t mess up the whole house … BUT … instead, you mess up your craft room and boy oh boy does that take a time to sort out again.

My craft room is currently in a stage of ‘waiting’ – and things are piled up in piles – which I really don’t think I’ll find anything I want ever again!
Mr. Cobs is going to put me some more shelving in my room for me, so a mess will be made. What I don’t understand is why messes are made in my craft room. In the house I put everything back exactly where it belongs. In the craft room everything comes out that I think I might need for *that project* – and things just build up and build up, until it’s at explosion point.

To be honest I think I need to part company with some things. I’ve got stuff I’ve had for donkeys years – and I probably won’t get around to using, so I should let these things go. But my brain then steps in and says: ‘Ahh… but Cobs – what if you need that chicken, donkey, wooden block, paper flowers, those nails, bolts and screws. etc etc etc.’ And because of this – I put things back and don’t let them go!
sigh … big, never ending circle.

Yes soozy … go and buy that Lottery Ticket. You’ve got to be in it to win it. I’m wishing and hoping for you, and even crossing my fingers.

Sending love. You have a wonderful Easter Weekend too Soozy. ~ Cobs. xxx

      1. I think some craft rooms are messy because you can, it’s YOUR room, the rest of the house people see, however, in my house, it is a craft room.
I too must start letting go, I have been working on this since last year and have gotten down to two totes and a half dozen 12 X 12 paper holders for the rest of it. I do have beads that are taking up nearly two of those plastic trolley’s with two big drawers and 4 small ones. This is what is needing attention now, I am not into seed beads any more but I do love my semi-precious stones for making window crystals that put rainbows all over the walls. Really pretty.
I would love to make you one one day Cobs, using unicorn colours for the swarovski crystals that would embellish the wire that holds the big crystal at the bottom.
Well must run along now and get on the day. Slow moving this morning.
Still a chilly wind outside but the sunshine is breaking through.

        1. I think you’re right Soozy. We make a mess in our craft rooms because we can, and we don’t have to feel guilty over it either.

Like you, I have parted company with some crafty things – but I really need to purge. It’s not good to keep things for the length of time I have. tsk tsk.

Crystals for the windows… ahhhh how fabulous is that.
I have three crystals hanging in my craft room window right now. I got them for a bargain price of a couple of pounds each, and was so thankful to find them. When the sun comes round to where my craft room is sited, it shines during the mid to late afternoon and the crystals catch that sunlight and make little rainbows inside my craft room. Love them.

Normally I would say that I’d love one of your window crystals Soozy – however, I’m so very aware of the postage costs to us here in the UK, that I wouldn’t ever say yes to your kindness. So I shall imagine how wonderful your crystals are.

I hope your day isn’t anything like mine here. It’s rained non-stop from during the middle of the night (early hours this morning) – and it’s now 7pm and it’s still raining. Pouring down. It stops every (roughly) hour for about five to ten minutes, and then the Heavens open up again and WHOOSH … heavy rain until the next pause. Repeat every hour, exactly the same.
My cats are fed up with it, and my dog is bored because she hasn’t had her normal walk today. Poor babies.

Sending much love to you Soozy. ~ Cobs. xxx

  2. I had completely forgotten about Anne and Malcolm..Why I don’t know except I forget where I put the cell a lot and it is aggravating.
I am also missing the weekly lessons from history ( which everyone didn’t learned the first time around.)There are some who are trying their best to wipe history clean and it is crazy. We are suppose to learn from history so we don’t repeat it over and over again.. Like crying over spilt milk…just wipe it up and move on. Bessie cow doesn’t hold the key to smiles which our Mrs. cob so gracefully reminds us is more important.
In the mean time….Easter blessing for all at Cobweb Towers.xoxo

Aww … you hadn’t really forgotten about Anne and Malcolm, they’d just been sitting on a shelf somewhere, waiting for the chance to come and tickle you again. 😀

Your cell phone … I don’t even remember to take mine out of the house when I go out! I’m paying good money to forget my cell phone. LOLOLOL.

I’m sorry you’re missing the History Edumacation … I just felt that it was time for a little spring cleaning to be done. Give everyone something new and refreshing to read. The History hasn’t gone forever – just for a time. A holiday, if you like! 😀

Bessie the Cow … now I’m not sure if Bessie was one of your Cows or another cow altogether. You’ll have to take on the teacher role and teach me about Bessie.

Thank you so much for coming Bev, and for taking the time to tap out a comment. I love to chat with you. We have such fun together.

        1. Ohhhhh THAT Bessie! Hmmm… I’m on the fence regarding that. I’m not even a bit convinced that it was poor Bessie. I’m more pulled towards the theory that it was caused by the group of men who were having a bit of a gamble in the barn building. I reckon someone got cross about a bit of card sharpness, a fight broke out and the lamp went over which then was the cause of the horrendous fire which followed.

But hey … what do I know! lol.
          So … like I said … I’m sitting on the fence. 😀

  3. Well I feel like they mirror my life too! I always said to Mum, Why did you call me Kim, I liked Jane!” She said ‘ Well actually, I was going to call you Jane, but whenever I thought of that name, Calamity Jane was my first thought, so I didn’t, but on reflection I definitely should have!” She always said that with a smile and I could never be cross, as I believe she was spot on! I can really understand all these things as I have done them and more myself, and still preceding to find new things to make me wonder about my special ability! Your blog did make me chuckle. Have a lovely Easter Weekend 🙂 Hugs x

  4. Awww. Cobs!!! So glad to see Anne and Malcolm back again! That naughty nutcracker! However…I do wonder if (ahem) Anne might be also emptying her solution to the little girls room in the pot also? Maybe….maybe not…but it begs the question…”what else is she doing with it?”
I also really really want to know what the cat is looking at?
A blessed Easter to you and your Cobs!!

    1. 😀 Hello Chicken!
Aww, I’m so glad to see you welcome Anne and Malcolm back into the fold. (lol)

I do believe that you’re right, Chicken. She’s obviously emptying somewhere … that poor plant! It has an awful lot to put up with. lol

What else is she doing with it? Oh. My. Goodness!!! No. no no no …. I can’t venture down that road! ewwwwwwwwwwwwww!

LOL @ the cat! I know… I wondered the very same thing. My head was making up all sorts of things – from a vision of a ghost, to some sort of super human who had a talent for invisibility. 😀

Aww I’m so tickled to see you here Chicken, and thrilled to the bone that you found some laughs here.
Sending you much love and good thoughts this Easter. ~ love ~ Cobs. xxx ❤

  5. Good evening dear Cobs!

    Lol lol lol!!!

Now our older son has moved out, I use his old bedroom if a crafting urge seizes me…and by the time I have finished, it usually looks like I’ve been sicked up by Hobbycraft…love glitter…and glue…and sparkly stuff…and stick-on sparkly things…

💎💎💎💎💎💎💎 lots of love to you 😺💕xxx 🐇🐇🐇🐇

    1. Hello Sam! 😀
Glitter … MrCobs has threatened to find the person who invented Glitter and send them on a one way trip to Saturn.
He (Mr.C) says I leave a trail of glitter through the house and all over the garden… and … he’s right. I really do. Our decking (which links my craft room to the house) is the most decorated decking in the whole wide world. It sparkles like mad of a night time. Even Little Cobs sings ‘Twinkle Twinkle little star….” when he’s out on the decking.

So I’m with you all the way on the glitter.

But … I laughed long and hard at this: “Sicked up by Hobbycraft…” Oh My Goodness …. I visions inside my head are brilliantly, wonderfully, amazing! I can see you stood there – covered in glitter, with your hair looking like an ‘afternoon delight’ in bed moment – stuck up with bitty bobs, ooma-ja-thingummies, and all manner of crafty sticky backed doo dahs, including sticky back googly eyes!

Sam … I’ve never loved you as much as I do right now. So proud of you. LOLOLOLOLOLOL.

  6. Yet again more fun with this adorable couple! The one with the pink chair concerns me a little, Cobs… in my case, not only would I not fit on the chair, I would struggle mightily with the space behind the desk it is in! Hehehe! 😀

Aww, that pink chair gave me the heebeegeebees when I saw it. I’d fall off the darn thing at least once a day!
As for you struggling … nah. I know you’re a strip of wind with muscles that ripple. You’d fit into that space … but your muscles might need more space in order to be flexed. These are the problems you face when you’ve got a body like Superman! 😀

  7. Always jealous about the craft room! My craft storage consists of multiple Rubbermaid bins scattered about the room and one small table to work on. No peeing nutcracker, either!

    1. LOLOLOL… noo, I couldn’t live harmoniously with a Nutcracker who seemed intent on not only killing my plant but also building a career as a flasher!!! No siree. that’s not going to happen in front of my craft stash!

Your craft room is just fine and dandy, Gillyflower. It works, and that’s what’s important! 🙂

Thanks for coming, and for the fab comment.

    1. Hello lovely Tam
aw, I’m thrilled, from the top of my head to the tips of my toes, that you’ve had some fun reading and looking at the photos of the fabulous twosome that are Anne and Malcolm. 😀

Thank you for the re-blog Tam. I’m so happy that you’ve helped to spread the laughs around. The world is in such a state of ‘unhappy’ – sharing the smiles can only be a great thing. So thank you for sharing the smiles, my lovely friend.

  9. Hallo Cobs 👋🏼. I’m loving the new blog layout! Very beautiful. Because I have not heard from you for a good while and because I’ve been hoping you are well, I thought I’d check out your Pinterest site to peruse any new creations you may have popped on there. Wow, such pretty arrangements of pins! I find that Pinterest overwhlems me, so my daughter has taken over my site and I reduced my boards considerably. To me, it’s like online hoarding and I can’t bear it, but other people’s boards I’m happy to view. I hope that you, Mr.Cobs and grandkids are all well and managing to avoid this nasty virus. Hopefully, for you, it will give you the time to produce more enchanting creations and I pray you will have the physical strength to do so. Bye for now.

    1. Hello Sharon. How lovely to hear from you.
My apologies for being MIA for what feels like forever. Life and some health problems have got in the way and some things had to be put on one side while I dealt with those things which needed my attention.

I trust that you and your familyare free from this Coronavirus which we are all living through right now. So far, touch wood, no one in our family have been touched by it, thanks be.

I will be posting on my blog again as soon as I have some photographs of things which I can share. Until then, I shall be making the rounds of all the blogs I’ve been missing while not in blog land, and, of course, your blog is on my list to visit. So expect me to be there within the next couple of days.

Thank you so much for your messages, and for your kind words.

I don’t think there’s much to peruse on my blog as I haven’t really posted anything – a prayer for those feeling down in the dumps I think, and one other post about how I nearly killed my dear hubby. I just popped on today to post a quickie and spotted your comment. I shall look fwd to being delighted by the new revived you and the wonderful stuff that shall appear shortly 😊.
