Down in the meadow in a
little bitty pool
Swam three little fishies
And a mama fishie too
“Swim,” said the mama fishie,
“Swim if you can.”
And they swam and they swam all
over the dam

Boop boop diten datem whatem choo

The idea of painting Koi Carp popped into my mind and so I went with it. Never painted fish before so this was a surprise choice for me!
.
Painted in ATC/ACEO size – 2.5″x 3.5″
.
The poem is one I remember singing with my girls when they were little, and I remember singing it with my mum when I was a little girl (back before dirt was invented – at least it feels like that some days).
.
.Anyhoo …
.
HAPPY MONDAY! Yes, I know that you perhaps might not feel overly happy that it’s Monday … but hey … you have two choices: You can either feel miserable all day and totally miss out on any smiles which could come your way. OR … you can choose to feel happy that although it’s Monday, You’re Alive! Now that surely has got to be an improvement on the alternative. So choose happy!
.
But … you don’t have to. However, remember that which ever you choose, happy or miserable, it was YOUR choice to feel that way. So you can’t complain that life has given you a rubbish day, because you chose ‘miserable’.
.
(This is why I always choose ‘happy’. It always ends up being the best choice I’ve found).
.
But … which ever you choose, may your day be peaceful and may you feel like you’ve made a positive difference in someway to someone else. Be the smile that someone else needs. Just do it.
.
Be nice to yourself … and each other. It helps the world to go around in a much better way.
Sending love ~
I always choose happy and the power of positivity! =) see you soon for coffee =)

Oh cute…and don’t we all remember this little song…now that you have reminded us. hehe
And…I’m so glad your Monday starts before mine.

The funny thing was … that I didn’t remember the song until I began to paint this little ATC. Then it came flooding back . . . and I can’ believe that I forgot I knew it! (if you ‘get’ what I mean).
My Monday starting before yours means that I can sweep away all that stuff which makes Monday into a rubbish feeling day.
BUT . . . although you’re glad my Monday starts before yours … have you given any thought to the other end?
My Friday starts before yours too! LOL.
Sending you a rainbow of Monday loves ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 ~ Cobs. xxx 🤗

Fab post and painting. I used to sing that song with my mum too. Tried hard to make sense of the words of the chorus!

LOL .. the chorus, I told my girls, was because the man who wrote the song forgot the words to the middle bit (the chorus) so he made up some words so that there wasn’t a big silence in the middle. LOL
I fear I shall never get to Heaven. lol
Thrilled you like the painting Barbara.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment.

Lovely fish painting. That song will be in my head for days – I used to sing it with my children in a toddler music group. Hxx

Oh Lord! I’ve given you an earworm! LOL
sorry ’bout that Hannah.
I’d totally forgotten the song till I began painting this little ATC.. then from nowhere it began to weedle it’s way from the depths of my memories and then suddenly — WHAM — it came back like a firework exploding inside my head.
Since then . . . I keep singing that silly *$^#%* chorus. [s.i.g.h!!!]
You and I should make the worlds smallest choir and drive everyone nuts with that song.
Hey … if we’re suffering …. lol.

Thank you for sharing both the painting and the song. They go together perfectly. I had forgotten the ditty; I haven’t thought of it for years. but reading it here today I was flooded with memories of both my mom and dad singing it, sometimes together, and any child around joining in — though the teenagers were sometimes too hoity-toity. I had already decided to have a happy day, and reading your post cemented the deal.

Hello Beautiful Aunt Beulah.
The song is one of those things that seems to fade into the distant memories …. then something happens to bring it back and WHAM! … there it is and you’re singing it inside your head like you did when you were little.
Aww, so many memories came flooding back when I began to sing that song inside my head as I was painting the Three Little Fishies. It made me feel all warm and sort of fuzzy, inside.
I’m so happy to hear that you’re having a happy day Aunt Beulah. You deserve all the ‘happy’ that life can bring you.
God Bless you, dear blogging friend. ~ Cobs. x ❤

LOL … isn’t it funny how we pick up something from our childrens childhood and continue it into our lives, even though our children have grown up?!
With us … we have many things, but the ones that instantly spring to mind are: Ambliance (instead of Ambulance), and … caterpillar-pillar-pillar. That’s exactly how daughter No.2 said it…. “caterpillarpillarpillar”, and we STILL say it like that now.
We must sound like idiots to anyone else listening. LOL.
Have a blessed day Samantha. ~ Cobs. xxx

HAPPY MONDAY COBS!😊
It feels like it’s next Monday now, typing on my mobilius phonious as I am doing, hand numbed by holding it in that unnatural angle you do when typing on a mobile. Love your little fishes 🐠🐟🐠

Hello Nancee!
I know … Mondays are one of THOSE days. Just the sound of it sounds boring. LOL.
No… not two Saturdays! Everyone goes manic on a Saturday, and they fill the shops and go crazy – as if someone told them that all the shops were going to close down – so they’re out there buying everything they can!
Two Sundays. Ahh … now Sundays are far more peaceful.
Glad you like the fish!
