The Monster Under My Bed Says He Wants Another Cookie! 5th ATC/ACEO – painted for World Watercolour Month
I had no idea what I was going to paint. There I sat, water pots to the right of me, watercolour card cut to ATC size in front of me and tubes of paint to my left. And I Had NOTHING. No ideas what-so-ever. What the heck was I going to paint???
Looking for inspiration, I began to think of Little Cobs (grandson), and began to smile as I remembered how caught up with zombies and monsters he is. He even told me on School Sports Day, as we sat eating our picnic, that “*that* (pointing to a group of trees) is where the zombies live!”. He tickled the heck out of me. His mind is like a playground. Then … it hit me! I should paint a zombie…. or a monster …. but … I’d do something that looks a little more funny than scary.
Mind made up and I was ready to go. And this … is what came out of my paintbrush ….
The Monster under my bed says he wants another cookie! #WorldWatercolorMonth
I saw a rubber stamp about 2 months ago which said: “The monster under my bed wants another cookie“, and I thought the words would be perfect as the title for this little ATC.
The Monster Under My Bed says he Wants Another Cookie! #WorldWatercolorMonth
I’m now waiting for Little Cobs to come tomorrow (Saturday), as I can’t wait to hear what he has to say about this little cookie monster. 😀
Thank you so much for coming and sharing this little watercolour monster with me. Are you by any chance joining in with the July World Watercolour Challenge? You can find out more about it here—>Doodlewash<—click and it will open in a new page for you. But to be honest, there’s nothing really to know. You simply paint something using watercolours. As small or as big as you want to. Then, you tag it with: #WorldWatercolorMonth – and that’s all there is to it!
Have a ‘Monstrously‘ fabulous weekend doing whatever makes you happy.

Hello.
I'm 'Cobwebs'.
I live in a wee little cottage in the South of England, aptly called Cobweb Cottage. This little dwelling really is a cobweb factory. Not inside (well, occasionally) - but outside - flipping heck!
This information should give you a clue as to why my blog is called The Art of Cobwebs aka: The Cobweborium Emporium.
I've been arty and crafty from a very young age, and although my crafts have sometimes turned a corner and taken me in another direction, I've always crafted in some way, shape or form.
One day, in the blink of an eye, life changed somewhat for me and the consequences were many. I had to find a new way of being 'artistic'.
Card making; scrap-booking; producing ATC's and ACEO's; needle felting; Polymer clay; painting- but in a more relaxed style than I had before, and sewing, - are all things which I visit, as and when life allows.
I've fairy recently become a Textile Artist and am enjoying this new creative outlet very much as it offers me so much scope for letting my imagination run through a grassy field and feel the wind in my hair - (mentally, of course).
I love to create. To make things. I truthfully believe that the best gifts in the world are those in which you've given your time, rather than your cash.
Thank you so much for visiting. Please visit my blog (link below) and have a look around. I'm sure you'll find something to enjoy, even if it's only a handful of jokes! (yes, seriously - there really are jokes!)
Wishing you a truly blessed rest of your day! ~ Cobs. <3

He is cute! Actually, I am pretty sure that’s what I look like in the morning before I have had my coffee.
Absolutely laughing like a drain here!
Aww Scrappy … thank you for bringing a smile to my face and heart. Bless you.
Actually … I think I look a little like that too, now you come to mention it. 😀

Hello lovely Kathy!
Aw thank you for coming and for your fabulous comment.
I hope he does … because if he does, I’m going to frame it and hang it in his bedroom here. 😀
Thanks for coming Kathy.
love ~ Cobs. x
Little Cobs is going to love that tiny monster! I wonder if I could make a passable crocodile???? My grandson and granddaughter are fascinated with the one at the Lake we spent time at. As my wee granddaughter says, “It is a FAKE one Grammy!”
Going to have to check out that contest page!
You could do a Alicroc[k]ergatordile (as I’ve called them since my girls were little). You are WOMAN!
😀
But … you’d have to do two … one for each of them. A girl Alicroc[k] and a boy one too!
Simples.
Right… all you need is some paper, couple of brushes, water and a few paints and you’re off!
Don’t forget to photograph them … then blog about them too!
And that’s all there is to it! 😀
(giggling here) ~ Cobs. x ❤
I am sensing a lot of glee in the comment hahahaha. I may just have to dig through my son’s art supplies that he left from his college days in a graphics college. I bet there would be some brushes and watercolor paints in there somewhere.
I am so glad your monster is a fun one. I’m not really into monsters although we my have one lerking around. Babe just barks at everything. If it is ever serious I may not pat attention. Give Little Cobs a hug from his American Bebe.
Oh…rats…I keep forgetting to #watercolor…..
You can #Waterolor….. afterwards – just edit your post.
No, I’m not into scarey monsters either Beverly. So he had to have a silly look about him. I love his bloodshot eyes the best. lol.
My dog (Mabel) barks at everything too. If she were a person they’d say she ‘lives on her nerves’. I love her dearly and am very understanding and can keep calm about it. Mr.Cobs however, jumps ten feet into the air when she suddenly lets out a bark – normally a high pitched one – and shocks himself so much he has been known to swear. tsk tsk.
LOL.. YOu SAW IT!!
I wondered if anyone would realise that I’d tried to kind o suggest that he was a cookie/biscuit under all hair and fluffy stuff. Thrilled to pieces you ‘got it’ 🍪 👻

I love your little cookie monster – I have a similar monster living in my house disguised as a 6 year old boy!) 🍪 👹 I was hoping to join in with the watercolour month but I’ve been busy all week. Maybe next week. Hxx
Hello Daisies
Happy Saturday!
Little Cobs is currently playing Hot Wheels racing cars with his Grandad, so I thought I’d come make sure that no one was sitting, waiting for me to reply to a comment.
He LOVED the monster and has put in an order for first one more, then another one. LOL. He’s the youngest person I’ve ever known who’s commissioned a painting. LOL
Have a wonderful weekend Daisies. Thank you for coming. ~ Cobs. x
LOL … I didn’t think about that angle Rabbit. Maybe I’m missing a money spinning idea there! lol
Thrilled you like him.
Have a blessed rest of your day dear Rabbit ~ Cobs. x ❤
I love monsters, Cobs. Little Cobs and I have that in common. I have an Inner Zombie who makes an appearance every now and again. Your little Cookie Monster is very cute.
Yes, you and Little Cobs do have some common interests.
Hey .. here’s an idea … why not paint your own version of a Zombie in ATC size! It would be a one off … and again, you could add it to a folded 5″ x 7″ card and sell it!
Ta daaaaaah! 😀 ~ Cobs. x
