A few days ago I posted about a card I’d made (see photo below) and thought we could have a bit of fun with it by doing a ‘give away’ of that actual card. If anyone wanted to join in all they had to do was to comment with the word GIVEAWAY in their comment, and I’d include them as being one of the people who might like to be the owner of this card.
A couple of folks didn’t quite use the word (‘GIVEAWAY’) … but they said they wanted to be included, and since this is only a bit of fun and the first time I’ve ever done this, and added to that … it’s just a card and not a million pound lottery win, I thought I’d not be a stickler to the letter, so in all, we had 5 people say they wanted to be included.
I gave each of those people a number:
- BCParkinson
- rabbitpatchdiary
- paperpuff
- florence
- soozyb (soozyb – I can’t add your name as a link as I can’t find a link to your blog. If you have one, could you post the address for it, and I’ll turn your name into a link so that visitors could come and check your own blog out and who knows … you might gain some more followers!)
And then … I went to the Random Number Generator website and asked it to pick me a number and this is the screen shot of the number it picked:
If you can’t read that number in the wee box over to the right there…. here’s a bigger screen print of just that box … only larger:
The result was… [drumroll] number 1… which means that the card goes to BCParkinson.
Congratulations BCP … I’m thrilled for you … and Edna Chicken sends her regards. (lol). I’ll contact you and let you know about sending me your snail mail address so that I can send this to you.
I’ve so enjoyed this bit of fun. Maybe we could do it again another time? What d’you think?
Thank you all for playing along. I love you to pieces for joining in the bit of fun.
Love and wriggly stuff ~
Congrats BCParkinson 🙂 It was a lot of fun Cobs.

I think we shall.
I love to make people smile, and because there’s very little I can do to do that for my fabulous blog friends, I thought that a hug, tucked inside a folded bit of card might bring a smile via someones postman.

It was such a bit of fun that we’re going to do it again. Hopefully, with a bit of luck, you’ll be home and able to pop your name ‘into the hat’ (so to speak) next time.
How dare work pull you away from the important stuff! Don’t they know you have blogging to do? tsk tsk.
lol.

You need to put them straight. Draw up a set of rules which they have to abide by.
1. I am only required to work 2 hours per day.
2.You will provide chauffer driven car (nothing below a top rate Bentley) to collect me from home, deliver me to work, and then at the end of the two hours the car will collect me and take me home again.
3. You will provide me with a Gopher. Gopher coffee; Gopher Biscuits; Gopher Chocolate… that sort of thing. Just one Gopher should be enough (to begin with).
4. You will pay me the top going rate for my job, but remembering that I have been a loyal servament for many years, you will adjust the salary (+) by 20% for every year I have worked for you to date.
5. Tea and Coffee will be available for my Gopher to get for me, during the time I am in the building.
6. Should Tea and Coffee not ‘do it’ for me, then I request a key to the liquid joys cupboard. Please don’t insult me by telling me that there isn’t one of these. Judging by the state of some of the staff I know for certain that there really is a Liquid Joy cupboard, so don’t argue, just GIMME the DARN KEY!
I think that should do the trick.
no need to thank me. 🙂

UPDATED
I’ve just read what I typed as my original ‘Set of Rules’ for your employer, and have made the necessary adjustments for all the spelling mistooks. I have an excuse. Choose the one you think is more likely to be the honest reason:
1. I was obviously under the influence of the Liquid Joy Cupboard.
2. I was working to a time schedule when I typed that original reply (which, even after drinking a G&T, I could see the mistakes and I’ve now corrected them, so done me homework miss).
I had three minutes to type that reply and I’d used almost all of those up giggling at what I knew (inside my head) I wanted to type, before I needed to get shoes on and shoot out of the door, like a bullet from a gun.
If you don’t hear from me again it’s because the dog has just blown off and I think I’m going to die from this one. It’s …. got ….. me … by… the . . . throatttt ___/\___/\____________________

Aw see what happens when life gets in the way? tsk tsk. Life really should give you a break some times. eh? lol
Never mind Hannah. It was so much fun that we (myself and fellow ‘contestants’ lol) have decided that we really should do this again. And I will. Aaaand I’ll keep it to just a few days again because that way no one has to wait around with their hope hanging on a stick.

I shall look out for it in the future 😃 Unfortunately life is getting in the way of crafting and keeping on top of things. I have a poorly little boy. I am worried that it’s a little too similar to an illness he had a Christmas that resulted in a 3 day stay in hospital and temporarily left him unable to walk 😔 Only time will tell.
Hope all is well with you Cobs. Hannah x

If you’re concerned Hannah then don’t take any chances … take him straight to the hospital and let them see him. They will understand your fears. And they’d prefer you to take him and be wrong, than not to take him and be right.
Hannah … just take him darling. Even if only to ease your mind. Take him.

At the minute they would probably dismiss it as a possible upset tummy but it’s more like vertigo. I had to fight for help at Christmas but the doctors did then admit that they were totally baffled. I already have it in mind that if he gets any worse we will be getting help sooner rather than later. I have spent the night sitting on his bed. He wouldn’t come to my bed (autistic and all that) but is convinced that he is going to die and terrified of having to go to hospital again 😞 It’s been a long night.

Oh the poor dot. Autism is such a small word for such a such a huge, life long struggle and difficult disability.
